- Partial social security number
- Driver’s license number
- Name
- Address
- Email address
Despite political affiliation, it’s easy to see this is wrong, for a number of reasons:
- There is no plan for who will handle the millions of records, how the investigation will use the copious amounts of data, or who will be accountable if there is a physical or digital breach.
- PA Senate Republican staff will have exclusive access to the subpoenaed information they are seeking, making this an entirely partisan data grab
- Republicans will not agree to keep extremists of the ‘Stop the Steal Movement’ out of this “investigation”
- Pennsylvania taxpayers are responsible for paying for every part of this unnecessary exercise
Senate Republicans have taken their campaign to support a lie about the certified and already thoroughly investigated 2020 election to a new low, now using the personal information of millions of Pennsylvanians to push an agenda that only undermines voting and the values of our country. This request to expose sensitive information of millions of voters to unknown third parties is an invasion of privacy and personal identity security.
Pennsylvanians are already saying no to the GOP’s reckless information request. LET’S GET LOUDER! Senate Republicans work for you- it’s time to let them know.

Republicans seek Pennsylvania voters’ personal information as they try to review the 2020 results.
By Nick Corasaniti | September 15, 2021
Pennsylvania Republicans moved on Wednesday to seek personal information on every voter in the state as part of a brewing partisan review of the 2020 election results, rubber-stamping more than a dozen subpoenas for driver’s license numbers and partial Social Security numbers.
The expansive request for personal information, directed at Pennsylvania’s Department of State and approved in a vote by Republicans on a State Senate subcommittee, is the first major step of the election inquiry. The move adds Pennsylvania to a growing list of states that have embarked on partisan-led reviews of the 2020 election, including a widely criticized attempt to undermine the outcome in Arizona’s largest county.
Pennsylvania Republicans' Attempts At A 2020 Election "Audit" Are Off To An Awkward Start
By Sarah Mimms | September 9, 2021
The state’s first hearing featured testimony about an audit backed by Trump supporters that didn’t actually find any election issues.
Pennsylvania’s Senate Republicans kicked off their own “audit” of the 2020 election with a hearing Thursday, becoming the third state legislature to do so 10 months after voters rejected former president Donald Trump.
It’s not exactly clear what will happen with this audit and whether it will follow in the path of Arizona’s widely discredited review of the 2020 election, which continues to drag on with no end in sight. But the Pennsylvania probe, which will be funded by taxpayers, got off to an awkward start Thursday.
Pennsylvania’s Election Audit Gets Off To Wild Start As GOP Subpoenas Personal Details On Every Voter In State
Republicans on a Pennsylvania Senate committee voted Wednesday to issue subpoenas for information including personal details about each of the state’s 6.9 million voters, which they intend to use in a controversial taxpayer-funded election “audit” by a third-party firm—though Democrats plan to file a lawsuit to block what the committee’s Democratic minority leader, Sen. Anthony Williams, described as a a “pure, unadulterated power grab.”
Key Facts: The Republican-controlled Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee voted 7-4 to issue subpoenas to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration concerning the state’s elections and voter rolls.
